Currently

I hope today’s post finds you healthy, safe and maybe even smiling. How the heck is it December already? I have a lot of thoughts about the movement of time, but I’ll save that for another day I’m so excited to be linking up with  Anne for her monthly Currently series. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently baking, decorating, gifting, hoping, and sending.

Currently

Baking

All the things! I like to cook and bake all year, but beginning September 1, all bets are off. I will make every delicious recipe I find, and any old classic that has become a favorite. This time of year, you can bet I’ve got Ricotta Cookies in the oven and Christmas Crack in the freezer. I just made sugar cookies last weekend, too!

Decorating

Our house is finally fully decorated. Admittedly, we got started earlier than usual this year, but I’m okay with that. Anything in the name of more twinkly lights and tinsel, right? We also decorated the outside of our house this year (we live in a townhome, so sometimes it seems like it’s more work than it’s worth), but I’m so happy we did. Lots of color, lots of twinkling, and lots of smiling. 

Gifting

Some of my favorite small businesses really pulled out all the stops for Cyber Week. Sidenote: When did it become Cyber Week and not Black Friday, SmallBiz Saturday, etc.? In any case, I shopped Sapling Press, Jenn+Jules Designs, Pretty In Ink Shop, Game Day Feels, Emily McDowell, + The Tiny Tassel.

I also found some great deals at Anthropologie + Madewell, which were both featuring huge percentages off all weekend. 

And with all of that..my shopping is done! WHEW!

Hoping

For brighter days ahead! Enough said, right?

Sending

I cannot believe I am typing this, but I am done Christmas shopping and our boxes are being mailed this week to all the people we love. Don’t ask me how I made this happen, but it might just be the earliest I’ve ever been officially “done”. I sort of hope I carry this tradition on in the future..HA!
