Dreaming of a Hawaii vacation? I’m sharing a photo diary of the sunrise from Waikiki Beach!
If you’ve been sitting at home in the snow, rain, or cold and saying to yourself…I really wish I was in a tropical climate right now….I’ve got the antidote to your condition! Today’s Hawaii photos post might be my favorite yet. Though, I hesitate to say that, because I love all my photos for very different reasons…anyway!
Today I’m sharing a compilation of sunrise photos taken on Waikiki Beach. I’ve said it before, but I will never, ever tire of waking up before dawn to capture the insane colors of Oahu.
Waikiki Beach Sunrise
Waikiki is pretty synonymous with Oahu, Hawaii and if you are heading here or trying to plan a trip, it’s a must-stop regardless of what else is on your itinerary. Admittedly, it’s not my favorite beach (too many people), but seeing it in person is a must. From the shoreline, you can see an unobstructed view of Diamond Head Crater, all the beautiful hotel umbrellas that dot the sand, and of course, the Honolulu skyline.
If you’re trying to watch the sunrise in Honolulu, what time to arrive is entirely dependent upon the time of year. Sunrise is between 5:45AM and 7AM, so plan accordingly and double check easily using this Hawaii sunrise and sunset chart.
Parking in Waikiki can be tricky, but I recommend Royal Hawaiian Center (grab a coffee or breakfast at Island Vintage after to get your parking comped!) over and over again for convenience.
