Considering adding the Makeup Eraser to your beauty must-haves? Here’s my full review!
Sometimes I see things online and I’m like – there is no way that actually works. This is especially true when it comes to beauty products. I’ve been intrigued by the Makeup Eraser cloth for quite some time now and decided to ask for one for Christmas. I wound up getting two (and a multi-pack for travel) that I couldn’t wait to test out!
Makeup Eraser
If you’re not familiar, the Makeup Eraser claims to erase all makeup with just water, including waterproof mascara, eyeliner, foundation, blush, and more.
I don’t know about you, but trying to remove waterproof mascara is the bane of my makeup existence. It’s great for use in Hawaii, but I’ve all but stopped using it, because it’s a nightmare to get off.
The Original Makeup Eraser
To be honest, I’m always a little bit skeptical of “magic” products like this, but I was determined to stop using makeup remover. I also didn’t love the idea of makeup remover cloths, because I’m trying my best to eliminate extra waste. But how much could a glorified towel really take off?
How To Use The Makeup Eraser
The tiny fibers of each eraser work as a “suction” for all dirt, makeup and oil in your pores. Each eraser is double-sided to erase makeup (short fibers) and exfoliate the skin (long fibers).
The cloth is reusable, machine washable, and lasts 3 to 5 years. I love how soft the cloth itself is — it reminds me of a minky blanket for babies.
The best part? There are no oils, astringents, parabens, fragrance, and sulfates!
Makeup Eraser Cloth
The first test run I did was actually Christmas Day! I had done my makeup and it was the moment of truth. To be transparent, I had my makeup remover ready, because I wasn’t convinced it was going to do a thorough job.
The Makeup Eraser
As it turns out, this magic eraser for your face can take off everything. Not only did my entire Christmas Day face come off, the mascara was a breeze!
I washed it with my other towels and it came out looking brand new. I’ve since used it to remove long-lasting lip wear, waterproof mascara (it melts it off – so impressive!), and eyebrow tint, as well as my everyday makeup. What I really love about it is that you don’t need to scrub at all and it doesn’t smear makeup (mascara in particular) like wipes sometimes do. All the makeup goes directly into the towel!
Just wet the cloth and rub it over your face applying light pressure, just like you would if it was a makeup remover towelette.
As you may have gathered, I’m eating my words. I don’t know how exactly the Makeup Eraser does it, but I am super impressed and it’s not “just a glorified towel” like I originally dubbed it. If you are looking for something to add to your beauty routine that saves you time and money, or a great gift…this is it!
