TGIF! I’m ready for the weekend now that I’m feeling better! So many of you messaged me that my COVID reflections resonated with you and for that – I’m glad. It can be weird to put your feelings on the internet sometimes and I’m grateful for this space. In this week’s edition of 5 Things I Love Friday, I’m sharing the unprecedented flooding here in Hawaii, a new smoothie staple, a Judy update + more. Happy weekend, all!
5 Things I Love Friday
The flooding in Hawaii this week is devastating. The businesses and families across the state have been barely hanging on due to COVID and now they are dealing with all of this. A mail truck sank on Oahu’s North Shore, water flowing through homes and businesses like a river….It just makes me so sad.
My new favorite smoothie to make is lilikoi (passionfruit), pineapple, and lime. It requires one cup frozen pineapple, the juice of two limes, and lilikoi juice. It might be a bit hard for mainlanders to find the last ingredient in their local + I’m sorry, because ohhh boy this is a good one! You can for sure buy it on Amazon, and dare I say — it’s worth it.
You might remember that last week I mentioned Judy’s surprise surgery. I am happy to report that her biopsy results came back and the mass was not cancerous! PRAISE! This felt like a huge weight off my shoulders mid-week when we got the news.
We finished Bridgerton this week and I might be the only person on the planet who didn’t fall head over heels in love with the series. I liked it, for sure, but I didn’t binge it. I’m sort of ashamed to admit, I could really only watch it in small doses ::hangs head in shame::. That said, the last two episodes hooked me and we watched them back-to-back. I wasn’t surprised at all about who Lady Whistledown wound up being!
Now that we’ve finished all the “top contender” shows – have you watched anything that might be flying under the radar and is worth binging? The rain in Hawaii is definitely keeping us inside for awhile!
I’ve been spending some time on Pinterest planning our dream home (when? where? TBD), and I’m fully obsessed with this hanging chair as a splurge statement piece. Wherever it winds up being, you can count on a good bit of rattan!
