Happy Friday, everyone! Let’s dive right in to this week’s roundup, shall we?
5 Things I Love Friday
I want to start by condemning the hate crimes in Atlanta this week. No one should have to fear walking down the street. It’s wrong and it has to end. Here’s a great resource on how to support Asian American communities right now.
If you need a feel good story, I wrote about how two Baltimore chefs drove 6 hours to feed a terminally ill customer. Made me ugly cry, but proved that good people do still exist!
For the past year, my cousins have randomly mailed me candy they have discovered and loved. Truly – they know the way to my heart. A couple weeks ago, NERD Clusters arrived on my doorsteps. In true form, I ripped open the bag to sample them and then promptly ate the entire thing. Whoops. They are SO good and I already have more en route to my house. Dare I say they are better than NERD rope..?!
I chopped all my hair off on Saturday. It had been a year (!) and it was time and wow – I cannot get over how much that has lifted my spirits. In a weird way, it felt like cutting it all off was letting go of the past year. I know, I’m reading way too far into this, but the change is beyond welcome!
We watched YES DAY on Netflix and while it’s definitely aimed at being a kids/family movie, we thought it was cute. Would I do a yes day with my future children? I don’t know. The carwash sent my anxiety to a 10.
As someone who is fully obsessed with loungewear, particularly matching loungewear that makes me feel pulled together while at home, I have my eye on this bright pink summer set. There’s a big part of me that wants to put any more at-home purchases on hold, but a stronger, bigger part of my brain knows I would absolutely wear these out of the house, too. ::shrug::
