TGIF, friends! This week flew by for me and so much of that has to do with focusing on work and trying to power through the grey skies here in Hawaii. What is it about crappy weather that puts you in a crappy mood? Anyone else like this? In any case, I’m very glad it’s Friday and that we have a full two days ahead with nothing on the schedule. Let’s get down to business…
5 Things I Love Friday
I am fully one of those people that are obsessed with their Peloton. I have a whole post coming on this, including what I wish I would have known before ordering, but for now I will say…It was worth it! You can get $100 towards bike accessories using my referral code: FDQ2CN. In full disclosure, when you use my code I get a gift card to buy gear and OKAY OKAY, YOU CAUGHT ME….I just really want a Pelo-tank top.
Have you read The Only Plane In The Sky? It’s an oral history of 9/11 and it’s fascinating and heartbreaking. I was in seventh grade when the attacks happened, so there was a lot happening in the world outside my scope of understanding. This book takes over 5,000 oral histories and combines them into an emotional account of the day. Dare I say – it should be required reading.
Has anyone used this rubber rake to pull up pet hair from their carpet? Although I vacuum regularly, the pet hair from two Labradors is…a lot. I know it’s not my forever carpet, but I do have to live here and I’d prefer to keep it as nice as possible. We have impossibly old carpeting upstairs, so this the rubber rake feels very tempting, but I want to hear if you’ve used it, because the internet can be very good at selling me things that are not as they seem. As I recall, my parents had something similar growing up, but it was smaller and used for the steps.
Dreaming of a relaxing vacay? Me too. I shared earlier this week about our trip through Cape Town, South Africa’s wine country before COVID and it’s a fun digital retreat.
And finally, but maybe most exciting (at least for me), is that my photography was chosen by a local establishment (official announcement coming, I promise!) to be displayed in the upcoming months. My official install is happening in April and I couldn’t be more honored. I currently have huge frames stacked in my office and my heart does this weird little pitter patter each and every time I see it.
