5 Things I Love Friday

Have you seen the “Pillow Face” filter on Instagram? I discovered it over the weekend and wow – I feel like I’m a cross between Jim Carrey’s “The Mask” and Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as the woman who looks like a cat. Please go on Instagram, use this filter, and show me what you look like, because I cannot stop laughing at my own. Also, you are welcome for this nightmare fuel.

I know I have reached peak adulthood, because this week I was overjoyed to get a new mouthguard to wear at night. My teeth grinding is out of control and I wake up with the worst migraines and sore jaw. Although this one doesn’t get great reviews, I really love it, because it isn’t bulky, and only fits behind my front teeth and against my molars. 

For Easter dinner, we made reservations. It’s an outdoor rooftop and I’m excited to be able to enjoy a nice meal out and come home to no dishes. I’m left wondering – how in the world is it Easter? I feel like we were just celebrating Christmas!

Speaking of Easter, I’m planning on making a few festive bunny-style cookies using my favorite sugar cookie recipe. This feels manageable since I’m not cooking a meal. Here’s to hoping I can get my act together…

I have been living in the Birkenstocks I got for Christmas and my birthday. Both pairs get equal use and I cannot recommend them enough, especially as temperatures get warmer across the country. Super comfortable, easily cleaned, and just the right pop of color. Don’t worry, they come in neural colors too 😉
