What a week, my friends! Is anyone else trying to wrap their brains around the fact that it’s going to be May tomorrow? In any case, today I’m sharing the hunt for quality denim, a tank top debate, a fun weekend plan + more! Happy weekend!
5 Things I Love Friday
A good friend of mine from college lives here and she has a pool (swoon!), so last weekend we had a little outdoor hangout while enjoying her at-home oasis. She served up a pitcher of this refreshing water combo (lemons, blueberries, and rosemary) and not only did it look pretty, it tasted great! It’s going to be a hot summer here on Oahu – I can already tell!
I need a serious tank top upgrade. For YEARS, I have been wearing the American Eagle longline ribbed tanks that my mom bought me…in high school. They still fit well, there are no holes, and I love how long they are, but the glittery little eagle on the bottom right corner is something I would rather not have donning every tank. There was a time and a place when that label would have made my heart sing, but I would rather not resurrect that period of my life. So – do I donate these and start over? Who makes nice, longline tanks (with a heavy emphasis on long) that don’t bunch or ride up? It’s a tall order, but it’s why I haven’t parted with my beloved in 15+ years…GULP!
Since getting my Peloton, these bike shorts are a staple in my wardrobe. I have them in three colors and they don’t ride up, are super high rise, no camel toe, and best part…no tags! I wear the 10″ style.
The jean short hunt has come to a successful end! I have had so many people recommend Abercrombie to me and I just didn’t have good luck there in the store. Maybe it was just my store? But I was extremely successful with this pair from Zara! I ordered online and they meet all my qualifications: great color selection, not a mortgage payment, not tight on my thighs, and not up my behind!
Hilton Carter is doing a collab with Target! His collection launches May 14 + I have definitely marked my calendar!
We are trying a new-to-us restaurant in Honolulu tonight with some friends and I am SO excited. I’ve been a little hectic at work and I’ve been looking forward to the outing all week to blow off a little steam. Cheers to getting a nice big cocktail 😉
