It’s JUNE – how?! I’m so excited to be linking up with Anne for her monthly Currently series. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently celebrating, collecting, gifting, thinking, and trying. Let’s jump right in…

Celebrating
That life is starting to feel like it’s healing. And honestly, all the little moments in between. The last year has taught me that life isn’t meant to be lived waiting for the next “big thing”. Each and every day here is a gift, so I’ve been waking up and tossing the confetti every damn day.
Collecting
I’m actually not collecting much – I’m cleaning out! After I came back from a brief trip to the mainland to finally (!) see my parents, I had the sudden urge to purge. In the past week, we have donated so many boxes of goods – kitchen supplies, clothes – some of it never even used! :sigh: But it feels good to pare down.
Gifting
It’s the season of gifting for us! It seems like lots of friends and family have birthdays in May and June, coupled with parental holidays, we’ve been doing quite a lot of gifting! Most notably, I gave my mom a subscription to Storyworth for Mother’s Day and you guys – she’s totally panicking. It’s worth noting that my mom is a retired financial professional, so writing (in any form!) is not her gift. She will do complicated math problems in her head all day long, but writing a paragraph makes her tense up. I feel awful, because every week she gets the prompt and freaks out about it. I know in the long run, the end result will be so beautiful, but I feel a little guilty about the whole thing!
Thinking
That the new bra top I bought from Athleta should be a summer staple in every woman’s wardrobe. It’s seamless, comfortable, and offers just enough support (IBTC here – cannot vouch beyond an A cup!). I have it in coral and grey, but I’m eyeing it in the beautiful periwinkle color.
Trying
I am fully obsessed with the latest salad recipe from Half Baked Harvest. I had it on my meal plan for last week and before I could get to it, both my mom and friend Kavita made it and gave it rave reviews! When we finally got to enjoy it Friday night, I could see why it got such glowing commentary. I will warn you – there are quite a few steps and some prep work – but it’s worth every single one. The blend of flavors is the perfect summer treat. 10/10 recommend and don’t be intimidated by the seemingly weird mix of flavors – just go with it. It’s GOOD.
