Do you look forward to fall every year for the seasonal flavors? This pumpkin spice syrup recipe is easy to make at home!
Is there anything as good as your first pumpkin-flavored coffee of the season? I know not everyone is a fan, but pumpkin spice season is my love language. I will enjoy it for the full September – December quarter and then I never want to see it again. That said, I do enjoy it!
For me, pumpkin spice coffee is the cornerstone of all fall treats, so when I saw a TikTok describing how to make pumpkin spice syrup, I knew I wanted to try it out. After all, I don’t have time or money to go to Starbuck’s everyday!
Today I’m sharing this easy at-home recipe and the small modifications I made to mine!

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup
I will admit, this seems a little much when you can order pumpkin spice syrup off the internet, but I promise this recipe is pretty straightforward, and the satisfaction of knowing you made it yourself is pretty high. Am I weird? Okay, let’s get into it.
How To Make Pumpkin Spice Syrup
To make this syrup at home, you will need:
2 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup pure pumpkin pureé
1 tbsp pumpkin spice (I used Autumn Harvest from Calicutt’s)
1 tsp cinnamon
splash vanilla
1 1/2 cups water
1. Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan on the stove over medium heat.
2. Stir.
3. Bring to a boil and let the mixture reduce.
4. When it’s the texture of syrup, remove from heat and store in a glass container. I LOVE the vintage glass bottle the original creator used, but alas – only mason jars here. It works just fine!
5. Store in the refrigerator and stir into your coffee, use on pancakes, create a fun seasonal cocktail, etc etc. The options are endless!
