TGIF! Who else is ready for the weekend? I know I am. We don’t have big plans, or really any plans now that I think of it, but I’m eager to relax. Let’s get this Friday party started…
5 Things I Love Friday
For anyone who loves trying new things, my mom sent us some Egyptian Dukkah from one of my very favorite hometown spice brands. Dukkah is an African and Middle-Eastern blend of toasted nuts and spices that Dane grew up eating on foods in Egypt. For our first use, we added it to a container with some olive oil and chopped tomatoes, and let it marinate overnight, then used naan bread for dipping. Delicious and highly recommend!
My friend Max started back as a morning news TV anchor in Texas this week. If you have a minute, pop by and show her some love on Instagram!
While browsing the internet late one night, I discovered that Anthropologie has a good bit of their Christmas decor collection on their website already. TOTAL SWOON! I have so many items in my cart, but especially this set of vintage ornaments. I’m such a sucker for them!
Hawaii’s sunsets have been crazy good lately and we’ve taken almost every opportunity to enjoy them. Last weekend we took Judy on a special solo trip to the water to watch with us, and it’s safe to say she loved it.
A couple weeks ago, I mentioned a pair of booties I had my eye on from Target. As it turns out, I wound up investing in this pair for two reasons. Upon closer inspection, the booties didn’t look as great in person. And second, I’ve never regretted investing in leather shoes. The leather riding boots I bought with my first “big girl” paycheck are still one of the most coveted items in my closet, even if I’m unclear on how in style they are anymore.
