TGIF am I right? It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around that we are getting so close to Halloween. Where has 2021 gone? Anyway, let’s dive right into solving a fall bootie debate, the best kind of candy, and why I’m sweating more than usual.

Do you know about BOO-ing your neighbors? The other day I opened up my front door and noticed the most amazing basket full of goodies. There was wine, beer, a gift card to Starbuck’s, dog toys, dog treats, and candy. There was also a note in there for me to put in my window, so fellow neighbors knew I had already been “BOO-ed”. It was amazing and it totally made my day! I’m now dreaming up what I can put together to pay it forward.
Our A/C went out in our house this week….again. I’ve lost count of how many times this has happened. Our house was almost 90 degrees when we went to bed the night it happened and it took multiple phone calls to maintenance to even have them come out and assess the situation the next day. Thankfully, our neighbors loaned us a portable unit to help give the dogs some relief, but I really wish military housing would just fix known issues instead of doing patchwork maintenance. All I can say is that anything you’ve probably read about the state of military housing is true!
Update: The booties arrived in the mail and they fit just as well as I imagined. Worth the investment IMO, because I know I’ll be wear these for years to come, I just need to break them in a bit. I ordered a half size up from my normal.
Is anyone else obsessed with Nerd Rope? I got some in a care package from my friend and I’ve been eating them nonstop. The Halloween varietal is very good!
