October…how?! I’m so excited to be linking up with Anne for her monthly Currently series. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently borrowing, buying, planning, prepping, and reading. Let’s get right into it…
Currently
Borrowing
Honestly, I’m not really borrowing anything.
Buying
These pants keep popping up in my social media feeds and admittedly -they’re spot on. I would absolutely wear them, so the social targeting is on point. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I finally clicked to purchase. YOWZA! Maybe if I win the lottery.
In more affordable news, I have my eye on these booties. Thoughts?
Planning
We are headed to the East coast for Thanksgiving with my family and I’m trying to plan what the heck to wear. It’s been…a long time…since I’ve dressed for fall/winter with any kind of fashion sense. We’ve done trips to Alaska and Iceland over the past few years, but both fell into the “bundle up” category of dressing. A cursory glance of my closet is showing a lot of spandex. Where are your favorite places to shop for fall/cold weather clothes?
Prepping
I cannot stop eating this beet poké. Seriously, it’s so good and it’s one of those recipes that once you have all the ingredients on-hand, it’s pretty easy to whip together for lunches. The spicy mayo makes it!
Reading
I just finished Clarissa Ward’s new book, “On All Fronts” and I could not put it down! It takes a little bit of knowledge of the Middle East and foreign policy, but it’s a great read for any fellow journalists and I’d recommend it for anyone who is curious about the profession. For those who may not know, Clarissa is conflict reporter and has experience covering events from Syria to Afghanistan. I found her words to be insightful, but not too in the weeds, and some parts even made me laugh.
What are you borrowing, buying, planning, prepping, or reading?
