2021…whew! We made it, folks. It’s time to shut the door and let this year live only in the history books. Breaking down the year in numbers is a fun way to do this and I did it for the first time in 2016 (2016 In Review), continued the tradition in 2017 (2017 In Review) and then of course again in 2018 (2018 In Review). 2019 In Numbers was probably my favorite yet, because it included so many milestones, and despite 2020 felt like a disaster in so many ways, I broke it all down in 2020 In Numbers.
Even though 2021 wasn’t what any of us had hoped for (I feel like that is putting it mildly?), I decided to break it all down. Tradition, right?
2021 In Numbers
13 – Number of books I read fully. I have a ton of books I started and need to finish, or just have chosen not to finish. Was not a great year for reading for me, but I hope to rectify that in 2022! I did join GoodReads, though, and that has helped me stay in the loop. Worth noting – I read a screen all dang day, so sometimes my eyes are just really tired at night and I want to close them…not read more LOL!
6 – Pairs of Printfresh pajamas! What can I say? I am fully obsessed.
129 – Blog posts written! Not bad! Some of the most popular posts this year include Ted Lasso Biscuits, My Nailboo Review and Best Psychological Thrillers to Read In 2021.
1 – Number of times I got to interview FLOTUS! I can honestly say it was a career highlight.

490 – Number of Peloton workouts completed this year since getting our Bike+ this spring. It’s safe to say I’m hooked on our Peloton bike and Peloton treadmill!
2- Number of vaccines received. My booster appointment is tomorrow and I’m feeling very thankful for science!
10 – Days in a hotel with the dogs, because there was jet fuel in our water.
2,967 – Miles driven from Los Angeles to our new home in Washington, DC
Unquantifiable items included sunset picnics and walks with the dogs out to the water, how hard I laughed and cried, the amount of times I got angry at life, or the amount of times I looked up to the sky in gratitude.
May 2022 be the year we never knew we needed. Cheers, everyone!
