Hello 2022! I’m so thrilled to be celebrating another year of “Currently” posts with Anne! If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently anticipating, organizing, reading, resolving, and scheduling.. Let’s get right into it…
Currently
Anticipating
Well, I’ll tell you what I wasn’t anticipating and that was a full-on winter blizzard this week in the DMV. We drove back down to our new home from my parent’s house after Christmas and arrived to threats of a winter storm. Nearly everyone we talked to said “Oh they talk a big game in D.C. when it comes to weather” but Dane and I felt a little bit like..maybe we should at least get a shovel? We saw pet-friendly salt so we grabbed that, too. Thankfully we did! By noon Monday we were getting 2 inches an hour. The dogs had “snow” much fun. Sorry, could not resist.
Organizing
My life! Moving across the country the week before Christmas in the midst of the ongoing pandemic with two large dogs is not for the weak of heart. I feel like it might be February before I am able to wrap my brain around the last two months.
Reading
I just opened up Four Winds by Kristin Hannah after it was recommended by a friend. Has anyone read this one yet? The Ninghtingale is a long time favorite, so I have high hopes!
Resolving
To take better care of myself. Several weeks in a hotel, on the road, and sloughing through the holidays has left me feeling pretty “meh”. I’ve pledged to eat healthier and move my body more. It started with a giant trip to the grocery store to stock our shelves and refrigerator with choices I feel good about and don’t make dinner time a stressful event.
Scheduling
Alllll the appointments. You know the drill when it comes to moving. You have to find a new doctor, dentist, hair person, skin person…all the things! Oddly, that part feels the most intimidating to me!
What are you anticipating, organizing, reading, resolving, or scheduling?
