Hello, February! I’m so thrilled to be celebrating another year of “Currently” posts with Anne. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently loving, making, taking, wanting, and wondering.
Currently
Loving
That we got our household goods much earlier than expected! For my non-military readers, this means that all our boxes arrived and got unpacked. Our house is still a sea of boxes and piles, but wow, it’s amazing what seeing your things (and putting rugs down) can do for my mood.
Making
I restocked our pantry, which is sometimes one of the harder parts of moving, and it finally feels like I can MAKE things again! Cooking again (and hopefully baking this weekend!) has definitely made me feel a bit more settled.
Taking
It easy, to be honest. I’ve given myself a lot of grace through our move and now that our stuff is here, I’m ready to start taking better care of myself. Last month I vowed to eat healthier and cook more meals at home. This week, I started working out again more regularly and I notice such a change in my attitude when I’m moving more.
Wanting
The Gleaming Primrose Mirror, but whenever I see the price tag my stomach drops into my butt. I never ordered it in Hawaii for shipping and logistical reasons, and I promised myself if I ever moved to the mainland, I would treat myself. Well, that time has come and I have not treated myself because $1,000+ seems like too much of a treat.
Wondering
If spring in DC will live up to the hype. It seems like every time I talk to a local about how freaking cold it is here, everyone says, “But Spring is so beautiful. You’re going to love it!” Time will tell!
