Happy Friday, everyone. The past few weeks have been really heavy with so much going on in the world. Before I jump into a little bit of a life update and weekend round-up, I wanted to share some ways to help Ukraine.
Here is a list of 11 organizations that have been vetted and verified to help Ukrainians amid the Russian invasion. I chose to donate to my friend Julia who is sending supplies to her family in Poland and helping refugees directly. She is still accepting donations and has an Amazon wishlist. Feel free to DM her for more information + let her know I sent you!
5 Things I Love Friday
I can’t believe we’re coming up on three months of living in D.C. – where does the time go?
We finally got to explore a little bit last week and spent the day in Annapolis. We had great weather and enjoyed walking around the waterfront a little bit. The best part? Some ice cream before the ride home! I will admit, it’s really nice to be able to go on day trips!
The dogs have acclimated pretty nicely to having a big yard and space to run. Now that the weather is STARTING (I use that word very loosely as some sort of “bomb cyclone” weather condition is slated for this weekend) to get warm, they’ve been enjoying laying out in the sunshine on the back patio.
I’ve found a lot of joy in different grocery stores here that we didn’t have in Hawaii. Namely: Trader Joe’s. My favorites items purchased in February + March. Maybe this is a sign of getting older that now I’m blogging about groceries?
I hope everyone is able to find a moment of peace this weekend. Know that if your mental health right now is suffering, you are not alone, and you can always reach out to me. Be well, everyone.
