I can’t really believe we’ve been in the Washington, D.C. area now for three months and we are heading into our fourth! What a ride. It’s a little bit unnerving to me how fast time is flying. Let’s rewind about month three…
Our Third Month In Washington, DC
Okay I think the most exciting part of month three was seeing the Cherry Blossoms in bloom around the Tidal Basin, though I’ll be honest, they are mobbed with people, even when you go early!!
Dane’s brother came to visit and we enjoyed showing him around town, but also having our fair share of just relaxing at home together.
We spent a weekend with my parents. Being able to pop up to PA for a weekend is definitely one of the perks of living on the East coast!
One of the major issues we have been battling with our dogs since leaving Hawaii was Judy’s liver levels thanks to the jet fuel disaster. She had elevated ALP and ALT in Hawaii prior to leaving, which made our vet a bit concerned. We had an ultrasound done in Hawaii that showed mild changes in her liver, so our new vet here recommended digging a little deeper.
We finally got to meet with a specialist this month here in the DMV and I’m so happy to share that our girl got an amazing report. Her ALT levels have returned to normal, and her liver has not changed at all.
Dane and I enjoyed a staycation at The Hay Adams. It’s a wonderful hotel with beautiful views of the White House. We could have done without the freak snow storm though 😉
We discovered there is a delicious cupcake and coffee shop not far from our house. Safe to say we love it!
Being so close to different places definitely has perks. This month we spent a day in Annapolis and had so much fun walking around by the water and getting some ice cream. It was around St. Patrick’s Day so there was a huge bar crawl, and while crowded, still enjoyable!
I am looking forward to the next month, because I have HIGH HOPES of the weather finally warming up. Friday is April 1 and it’s snowing right now, so…maybe wishful thinking 😉
