Currently

Hello, April! I’m so thrilled to be celebrating another year of “Currently” posts with Anne. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently getting, going, planning, posting, and thinking.

Currently

Getting

Back on board with meal planning. I took….a lot…of time off this winter and gave myself a little too much grace with moving, new house, new routine, etc etc. Anyway, spring feels like the ideal occasion to settle in and get us back on the meal prep/planning train. 

Going

We took a day trip to Mount Vernon last weekend, hence the photo above. One of our big goals moving to this area was to take advantage to the proximity of so many historical places. The grounds of Mount Vernon are absolutely beautiful. We went early to enjoy the property before crowds and had our mansion reservation for around noon. It worked out great, because by the time we were done, huge tour buses were arriving.

Planning

A trip this summer for our anniversary. We like to travel for our anniversary each year and being on the east coast feels like we have more options in a lot of ways. Any suggestions?

Posting

I’ve gotten into the habit of a monthly Trader Joe’s run and….I love it. I’m the type of person who will always click when someone posts their grocery hauls, so I’ve started sharing what I buy each month at TJ’s. You can read my February, March, and April posts!

Thinking

We are already in the part of our stay here where we start thinking about what comes next. Isn’t that nuts? The military’s timeline is accelerated and it makes things both easier and a little more complicated. In so many ways, I feel like we are just getting settled and feeling ourselves come alive again after a very long winter and moving process.
