Considering a trip to Lucketts Store in Leesburg, Virginia? Make an entire day trip to the historic village of Lucketts in Loudon County!
When Dane told me we were going to take a trip to Lucketts Store, I had no idea what to expect. I knew a lot of people loved antique shopping in Virginia, but I really didn’t quite *know* what that meant. That is, until we pulled up to the ultimate antique shopping experience, otherwise known as Lucketts Store in Loudon County.
Visiting Lucketts Store in Leesburg, Virginia
Let me just say, there is absolutely a reason people drive hours to come here. While I had no expectations, other people showed up with UHauls attached to the back of their cars…and with good reason. When you arrive to Lucketts, you’ll see that it’s a large parking lot and (what looks like) a few large buildings.
As it turns out, in addition to those large buildings (which are like mazes on the inside full of treasures!) are additional outside stands and tents filled with so many different types of antiques and specialty items.
Old Lucketts Store
I will be the first to admit that I am not great about antiques, or knowing what to look for, but I do know what I like for my home, so it was really fun looking around at all the unique pieces. I thought items were well priced and the selection was everything from outdoor decor and furniture, to old glasses and dishes, furniture, and my favorite…rattan!
We wound up coming home with a round charcuterie board made from a barn door, refurbished sea lanterns, an antique cocktail poster, and a hunger to return for some beautiful furniture.
If a trip to Virginia is in your future, I highly recommend carving out some time for Lucketts, if only to look around. They have a wide variety of stuff (new and old) and we had a really great day exploring. Also, stop for a bite to eat at Roots 657 Cafe on your way out…absolutely delicious BBQ!
