It’s here! It’s here! My full Target Swimwear 2022 guide has arrived. If you’re new here, I do an annual Target swimsuits dressing room try-on session and it’s one of my most popular posts of the year. You can check out The Official Guide To Target Swimwear 2017, The Official Guide To Target Swimwear 2018 ,The Official Guide to Target Swimwear 2019, The Official Guide To Target Swimwear 2020 + last but certainly not least, last year’s 2021 guide. But today, I’m dishing Target’s 2022 swimwear styles and what pieces I’m loving.
The Official Guide To Target Swimsuits 2022
I have to admit, I’m not in a season of life that lends itself nicely to my own self confidence. After 4 pregnancy losses in the last two years, hopping into a swimsuit in a dressing room and posting a photo on the internet just…is not what my heart is comfortable with right now. Suffice it to say, this year’s post is going to look a little bit different in year’s past. I hope you’ll stick around!
For reference, I’m 5’4/5’5 and weight around 150 pounds. I would say my build is definitely more athletic than slim, and I have muscular legs with a small chest.
Target Bathing Suits For Women
Kona Sol High Neck Black One Piece – Kona Sol swimsuits never disappoint when it comes to sizing and fit. I’ve found their sizing is pretty consistent and I am usually a medium. I love the high neck of this suit and the cut out back adds a cute factor.
Kona Sol One Shoulder – I have to say, this fits like a very similar (read: popular and viral) one shoulder swimsuit that is more than 3 times the price. The butt coverage is excellent and the one shoulder strap can easily be pulled down if you’re worried about tan lines, or it comes with a single strap if you’re worried one strap won’t be enough.
Floral Underwire Tie Front Swimsuit – As soon as I saw this, I knew I wanted to try it on. Warning, it runs really small. I tried on a medium and it was…a sausage casing. I would recommend going up at least one size, but the print is so beautiful. The quality is great (it reminds me of Farm Rio prints) and had they had my size, I would have gone home with this one!
Bandeau High Coverage Swimsuit – I bought this swimsuit last year in a bright blue color and LOVE it (seriously, one of my favorites!) so I was really happy to see it come back again this year. I have to be honest, I’m not wild about the print, but that is strictly subjective. The fit is true to size (I have a medium), and the butt coverage is great. The cups make you look a little more endowed than you might be, but hey, what’s the harm in that?
Flounce Top Bandeau – I think Kona Sol brings this swimsuit out every year, and honestly, it’s because it’s so dang good. The shirring across the waist is flattering, the bandeau (with optional neck strap) stays in place, and it runs true to size. If there was one swimsuit to buy on this list, it’s this one.
Mesh Cut Out One Piece – I know I said the above swimsuit is the one to buy if you only purchase one swimsuit, but the same holds true for this one. Shade & Shore brings it out every year, and it’s so good. I am not a huge fan of cut out swimwear normally, but somehow Target pulls it off with this one. I can honestly say I’ve seen dozens of women wearing this one (myself included) in all different sizes and it looks so good one everyone. Below is an old pic, but it’s the same suit to give you an idea.
Shoulder Tie One Piece – I so badly wanted my store to have this one in my size, but alas, they did not. I am very tempted to get it though, because the online reviewers rave about it. It looks very similar to a popular J. Crew style and I think would look equally cute with a pair of jean shorts over top.
Classic Stripe Bandeau – What’s not to love about a classic? Has anyone seen “The Parent Trap”? This suit gives me serious Meredith Blake energy, you just need to pair it with a giant sun hat! I personally love strapless suits, but for those that don’t, it comes with a neck strap. I think this suit is incredibly flattering, while also being functional and cute.
If there is a Target bathing suit you’ve found and love, I want to hear about it!
