How To Compete Against Yourself On Peloton

Fitness · August 29, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Looking to compete against yourself or ride against yourself on Peloton? This might be my favorite Peloton hack yet!

The other day I was reminded by my friend Andrea about one of my very favorite Peloton hacks – competing against myself on Peloton. It’s a simple way to take away the noise of other people on the leaderboard or gauge your own fitness progress. If you’re trying to figure out how to ride or run against yourself on Peloton, today’s post is for you.

How To Compete Against Yourself On Peloton

The first thing you need to know about competing against yourself is that you need to be doing the same ride or run you’ve done previously. For example, you can’t compete against all your 30 minutes rides or all your 15 minute runs. It has to be the exact same class.

Once you’ve logged into your class, head to the leaderboard.

From the leaderboard screen tap the “filter” button.

From filter, hit “just me”.

You’ll see your current class, as well as your stats from all the previous times you’ve take that class.

A couple things I really like about this Peloton hack is that: 1. I like seeing the progress I’ve made over time. 2. Sometimes I am intimidated when I take a class and see really high outputs, and I feel bad about my own performance. This is so dumb! I recognize this, so tuning that out and only competing against myself is a great remedy.
