Ready to enjoy Michelin-star food and service in Washington, DC? Look no further than Rose’s Luxury for New American fare.
For my 33rd birthday, Dane wanted to surprise me with something new a fun, so he booked us a table at Rose’s Luxury. We are new to the Washington, DC area, but the restaurant gets incredible reviews, and it has a Michelin star. I had no idea what to expect, but the experience was out of this world. If you’re considering booking a table at this DC restaurant, DO IT. Here’s a little bit of what you can expect….
Rose’s Luxury
Rose’s Luxury is located in Barracks Row and was founded by Chef Aaron Silverman. Truth be told, I knew nothing about it before going there for my birthday. Dane found it online and made us a reservation. It’s in DC, so parking is what it is, but we found some on the street nearby and walked over. Not too bad, especially if you have Park Mobile!
We sat at an upstairs table and the service was excellent the entire night. The way the menu works is that depending on how many people are in your party, determines how many menu items you pick. Everyone at the table chooses two dishes.
Everyone RAVES about the pork lychee salad (and honestly – I wasn’t blown away by the idea), but we orddred it to start. When I tell you that I could eat that salad by the trough-full, I am not even remotely kidding. It’s so dang good. We also enjoyed the stuffed cabbage, hot honey chicken and the seasonal pasta dish.
The menu at Rose’s rotates, so while there are many similar items, it won’t even be exactly the same.
My birthday was in January and by Valentine’s Day, I was still talking about our meal. It was one of those experiences that just doesn’t leave you, so Dane surprised me by signing us up for Rose’s Luxury Dinner Club.
Rose’s Luxury Dinner Club
The way the Rose’s Dinner Club works is that you sign up for a set number of months and the chef team at the restaurant has a 4-5 course meal delivered to your door on a set day each month. I’ll be honest, I was a little bit skeptical about how good it would be compared to the restaurant. I can honestly say, it was just as good eating it in my kitchen as it was in the DC restaurant.
We did the club for two months and enjoyed so much food each month that it was enough for two dinners at home. Each month the pork lychee salad was included for us, which I loved. You can always opt in for an alcohol accompaniment, but we did not partake. The meals are delivered to your door (they tell you ahead of time what time to expect them) in huge cooler bags with cool packs. They also include a menu and specific instructions on how to prep everything.
If you haven’t gathered by now, I’m a huge fan of this restaurant’s food – both in-house and at-home. If you’re in the DC area visiting, I would highly recommend making a reservation and if you live in the DC/NOVA area, the dinner club makes a great treat. I was so sad when our membership ended, because I really looked forward to each month’s delivery.
Also worth noting, Rose’s Luxury has absolutely no clue who I am, nor did they pay me to write any of this. I just genuinely love good food experiences and wanted to share 🙂
