My Favorite Places To Buy Sweaters

Fashion · November 30, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Looking for some new cozy clothes? Here are the best places to buy women’s sweaters!

When we first moved from Hawaii to DC, I hadn’t lived in a climate with seasons for more than a decade. While I had held on to a sweatshirt and a few pairs of sweatpants, I didn’t have anything that was remotely in style (or fit) and let me tell you something: the DMV gets cold. That winter wind will slice you in two with only a sweatshirt. I knew I wanted to invest in some sweaters to keep me warm and to use for layering. Well, my collection has grown, but I find myself going back to the same brands time after time. If you’re on the hunt for sweaters, I’m sharing my favorite places to shop and why.

Womens Sweaters

The Best Places To Buy Women’s Sweaters

Boden

First up on my list is Boden. Boden manages to seamlessly blend style and comfort, offering an array of sweaters that are as perfect for brunch as they are for a Netflix marathon. From classic cable-knits to trendy oversized silhouettes, the brand has something for every taste and don’t miss out on their coat selection either…so good!

J. Crew

Ah, J. Crew – a name synonymous with timeless fashion. If you’re on the hunt for sweaters that effortlessly transition from office chic to weekend casual, J. Crew is your go-to. Their pieces give sophistication with a modern twist, making you the epitome of effortless elegance. Whether it’s a cashmere crewneck or a chunky turtleneck, J. Crew knows how to capture the essence of cozy with a dash of style.

J. Crew Factory

Now, let’s talk about J. Crew Factory, the budget-friendly sibling of J. Crew. Don’t let the word ‘Factory’ fool you – this place is a treasure trove of affordable style and I’m so sad the store near my parents’ house went out, but the online shop is great. You can snag coveted J. Crew designs at a fraction of the price without compromising on quality.

Free People

If you’re all about free-spirited fashion and unique styles, Free People is your bohemian dream. From oversized knits to funky prints, their sweaters scream FUN, and I’m totally here for it.

Anthropologie

One of my all-time favorite stores for just about anything, so it’s no surprise it’s one of my go-tos for sweaters, too. Anthropologie turns sweaters into works of art and they also stock basics through brands like Maeve and Pilcro. Plus they carry Farm Rio…swoon!

Banana Republic

If you’re in the mood for sweaters that effortlessly elevate your everyday style, Banana Republic is the place to be. Their pieces strike the perfect balance between classic and contemporary, ensuring you look polished and put-together without sacrificing comfort. I will say that if you’re looking for muted tones — think grey, cream or black — BR is the only place to go.

Dudley Stephens

Now, let’s cozy up with Dudley Stephens – a brand that has mastered the art of fleece. If you’re a fan of sustainable, eco-friendly fashion that feels like a warm embrace, Dudley Stephens is your sanctuary. Their fleece sweaters are not only stylish but also ethically crafted, making you feel good inside and out. I wrote all about the brand and if they’re worth the price (they are) in a full Dudley Stephens review.

Sezane

For an effortlessly chic vibe, Sezane is the answer to your sweater dreams. Their designs are the perfect blend of romance and comfort, adding a touch of Parisian flair to your wardrobe. These are investment pieces and I have exactly one item, but I look at the website and lust after many of their pieces. They’re beautiful!

H&M

Last but certainly not least, H&M. If you’re fashion-forward and on a budget, H&M is your style savior. Their sweater selection is not only on-trend but also won’t break the bank. Whether you’re into oversized knits, bold prints, or classic cardigans, H&M has you covered.

So, there you have it – my top picks for the best places to buy sweaters for women. Whether you’re a fan of classic elegance, trendy styles, or eco-friendly fashion, these brands have something for everyone.
