Looking for a homemade salad dressing that you can put on pretty much any salad? Try my Creamy Vinaigrette Salad Dressing.
I used to joke that I wish there was a “one size fits all” salad dressing I could put on literally any salad to make it taste good. For a long time it was Gazebo Room for me. And don’t get me wrong, I’m still a sucker for that Greek salad dressing and marinade, but this homemade vinaigrette has an absolute chokehold on me, so it’s about time I shared it with all of you.
Creamy Vinaigrette Salad Dressing
If you’re like me, salad is a love language. If I’m going to eat a salad as a meal, I want it to be more than lettuce in a bowl, ya know? A big part of that – for me at least – is the dressing. Sure you can grab something at the store, but for all the salads I’ve ever eaten, the ones I go back to time and time again include a homemade dressing. I can see you rolling your eyes, but if you think about it, you’ll probably agree.
That’s where this creamy everyday vinaigrette comes in. I’ve used this salad dressing on kale-based salads, romaine-based salads, and even salads without a lettuce base (think grains, veggies, and protein), and it hits every single time. The tang of citrus and vinegar, mixed with the creaminess of Greek yogurt and mustard. It’s just so dang good!
Okay, so onto what you’re here for…the recipe!
To make my Creamy Vinaigrette Salad Dressing at home, you will need:
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 garlic clove
splash lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
1. Add ingredients to a food processor (I love my Beast blender for small sauces and dressing like this) and blend on high until thick and creamy.
2. Dress salad and store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
