Considering checking out Gute Leute Arlington? Here’s what you need to know about their coffee omakase before you go!
Last week, my husband surprised me with a coffee date out of the blue. I thought it was just going to be Starbuck’s or something..but it was so much better! We went to Gute Leute in Arlington, which is a new Korean coffee shop that opened earlier this year. Dane told me it took him forever to make a reservation and my interest was even more piqued…a coffee shop with a hard-to-get reservation?
“In German, Gute Leute means “good people” and it is with this idea that Gute Leute strives to create a space in which good people can enjoy good company. Our logo is inspired by the pine tree because it stays green all year long like our enthusiasm for coffee.”

What To Expect At Gute Leute In Arlington’s Coffee Omakase
Gute Leute is an extremely popular Korean coffee bar and the owner opened a new location in January 2024. I think the soft opening may have been in late December, but it officially opened doors for reservations with a full menu of delicious coffee drinks and pastries in January. It’s the first location of the chain in the U.S. which is pretty cool!
Dane booked us the coffee Omakase experience, which is three different espresso drinks served at the bar with one drink to go. I was so excited! Word of advice: Book now if you’re interested! We chose the “Signature Experience” which included:
Pine Cone: Smooth espresso served in a sugar rimmed glass. This tasted like tiramisu!
Granita: Homemade lemon sorbet with espresso poured over it. I cannot explain this other than it was an unexpected refreshing flavor + delicious!
Gute Leute: Espresso topped with cream and cookies over a butterscotch base. By far my favorite! It tasted like eating cookies and cream ice cream.
Choice of tea to-go: I got a butterfly strawberry tea that had the most delicious flavor and was very refreshing. It was huge, too!

We also had the option of choosing their current special, which include more drinks and had seasonal specials that included cherry blossoms and fruit infusions.
The cost for the entire Omakase experience was $20/per person – and that’s truly what it was…a coffee experience. The presentation, the combination of flavors, the service. It was amazing! They also have a regular menu that features a variety of coffee drinks and there were plenty of people working there enjoying the atmosphere (lots of natural light).
If you have the opportunity to check out Gute Leuete, I highly recommend it!
