Have you gotten sick of beautiful Oahu yet? Sorry for all the overload of photos, but we had so much fun adventuring while friends were here that it’s really hard to pass up the opportunity to share all the beauty this island had to offer here on the blog! The Makapuu Tide Pools are probably one of Oahu’s most naturally beautiful spots. I have posted before about how to access the tide pools, but today I’m sharing some updated snaps since I had my nice camera with me!
Makapuu Tide Pools
I love taking friends here that don’t mind getting a little dirty in order to experience the beauty of pure, untouched Oahu. I know that sounds like a cheesy tourist ad, but it’s true! You hike down a rock face to get to some of the most beautiful natural tide pools I’ve ever experienced. If you’re ever on island, it’s a must do!
I said it in my earlier post, but it’s worth repeating — be VERY careful. If the tide is high, don’t even attempt to climb down. So many people get hurt on this hike and some of even died attempting to enjoy the tide pools when they shouldn’t be.
