How could it be that we are staring down the barrel of spring break, tropical vacations and summertime? It seems like we were just ringing in the new year, doesn’t it? But alas, here we are! Here in Hawaii, it’s always swimsuit season and I feel kind of bad looking at photos of friends in the snow writing a bikini post, but…such is life, right? One benefit of wearing swimsuits all year long is being able to tell you the best places to shop for swimsuits! My Guide To Target Swimsuits is always mega popular (2018 Target Swimsuit Guide), so I wanted to offer up some more options for you at other stores in an entire post dedicated to water wear. I’m dishing good places to buy swimsuits, the best places to find deals, best one piece swimsuits, swimwear fit and more! Without further ado, let’s talk best places to buy swimsuits for summer 2018!
Best Places To Buy Swimsuits
Athleta – If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I talk about Athleta for the best dual-purpose athleisure pants that have ever existed and for their high-rise Chats, but their one piece swimsuit game is ON POINT After explaining my dilemma of trying to find a one piece that fit the bill (no camel toe, no butt cheeks hanging out, slimming but not a mom suit), to my mom, she suggested I try out the loop back suit. You guys, a magical one piece swimsuit unicorn exists! It covers my butt and doesn’t ride up in the crotch. It has a beautiful back detailing with adjustable shoulder straps and is actually supportive in the boob department. I didn’t know such a thing existed! While I’m partial to the one piece, you can shop their full swim collection (bikinis, tankinis and other one pieces) here.
H&M – I love H&M for everyday pieces, so imagine how impressed I was when I discovered they have swimwear AND it lives up to the hype. Like their clothing, look to H&M for affordable, basic swimwear and you will not walk away disappointed. Scuba Top | Striped Shaping Swimsuit | Ruffle Suit

Letarte – Okay, to be totally honest, Letarte is new to me, but I’m including it here, because I am wow-ed with the quality and design of their suits. First of all – I need cute AND functional when it comes to swimwear and this particular two piece fits the bill. I love that the top looks like a bralette in the front, but the detailing in the back is so cute. Bonus point, because that lattice not only looks good, but helps support (and keep in place) your girls. WIN! The bottoms are a win for obvious reasons – good design and no sausage status with just enough cheeky to be cute without looking obscene. There are tons of styles, prints an designs to choose from, so shop on! For reference, I’m wearing a size medium top and size medium bottom.Target – I know I’m not telling anyone who has read my Target Swimwear Guide anything they don’t already know, but you can find some seriously good suits at every basic woman’s favorite store. From one pieces to bandeaus and beyond (even some super cute coverups), they needed to be included in this list!

Cupshe – I discovered Cupshe while browsing Instagram one day and the first thing I noticed was how affordable their prices are. They are definitely a destination for trendy styles without having to spend a fortune, so if you’re one of those people who wants to test out a new style without breaking this back, Cupshe is for you. They are always running some sort of promotion, so be sure to look into that before placing your order! Highly recommended for brides-to-be who may want to stock up on a few extra honeymoon suits…not that I know anything about that 😉Black Scallops | Ruffle One Piece | Criss Cross Bikini
Nordstrom – I cannot tell you the number of people who have said to me lately “I never thought I could afford to shop at Nordstrom” and it always kind of makes me chuckle, because for a long time — I thought the same! The reality is that Nordstrom has both luxury and affordable styles and swimwear isn’t any different! They carry brands like Maaji, O’Neill, Topshop, L*Space, Billabong and so many more that all have super cute (and flattering) swimsuits that LAST. That’s the key with the brands that Nordstrom carries. One of my all-time favorite swimsuits is a suit I bought there from FIVE YEARS AGO. No fading, no pulls and no stretching. I spent more on it than I would have at somewhere like Target or Walmart, but it has more than paid for itself in the amount of usage I’ve gotten!
Aerie – Okay raise your hand if you thought Aerie only sold comfy clothes and undergarments. Yeah I’m in that boat! A reader passed along that Aerie is THE BEST for mix and match sets and whimsical prints and holy wow – color me impressed. I have my eye on so many different sets and styles I could probably set myself up for a full month of not having to do swimsuit laundry if I had my way! Don’t take my word for it though, shop here.

Albion Fit – I have long loved this brand for fitness apparel, so I shouldn’t say I’m shocked that I also love their swimwear but…I REALLY FREAKING LOVE THEIR SWIMSUITS! I discovered that they made cute suits after my friend Katie wore hers one day and I was like whoa, yes, love that, need that. From then on, it’s been a love affair. The worst part? Trying to decide which design to choose from. Amazon – Okay, so I do have to preface shopping for swimsuits on Amazon with a little bit of buyer beware. I had fallen hard for this suit, as did many other bloggers, earlier this year and when it arrived I couldn’t wait to get it on. Unfortunately, while it looked darling from the front, the back left little to the imagination (eek!) and it got returned. That said, two friends have purchased it(and countless others) and it looks fab. Luck of the draw! Swing and a miss, but nearly every popular brand can be found on Amazon and there are even some amazing dupes for popular swimsuits, like this leaf print one piece that is less than $15!
Nordstrom Rack – We have a Nordstrom Rack here in Hawaii, but it always is pretty picked over. Enter my favorite little secret weapon: Nordstrom Rack Online. Yes, I know, my mind was a little bit blown when I realized this was a thing, too. But you guys – the Nordstrom Rack swimwear selection is ON POINT. Lots and lots of designer brands (sometimes off season) for less! One of my absolute favorite brands to buy from NR is Seafolly, because their whimsical prints and styles truly never go out of style and so honestly – if it’s a season behind…big deal! I freaking love that brand, but cannot afford it full price, so this is a major treat in my eyes when I see pieces I love for 50% or more off retail. If Seafolly isn’t your thing – don’t worry. They have lots of brands to choose from! It’s hit or miss in terms of finding good deals, so check back regularly to score something good!
And just as a little added bonus, I wanted to include this adorable suit I found at…wait for it – WALMART. I know, I know. For less than $20 it can be yours which is about 1/8 of what it would retail for at bigger stores. For reference, I’m wearing a large. I’m not crazy about the rest of their styles (though to be honest many of them are picked over here), but I wanted to share this one, because it was super popular when I posted it on my Instagram stores!
Alright friends, we covered A LOT of ground today and some of you probably have a little bit of shopping to do now and are inspired to get cracking on that summer swimwear! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions – I’m happy to help in any way possible. That said – did I miss a place you love to shop for swimsuits or is it anything goes – wherever you find a cute suit it’s GAME ON?! Let me know! Have fun shopping 🙂
