Have you seen Vetchy bikinis all over social media? Today I’m sharing my honest Vetchy swimsuit review to read before you buy!
Finding a good swimsuit is always a challenge to me. After years of shopping at Target for bikinis, I have felt that the quality of their suits (and fit) have gone severely downhill…or maybe I’m just getting older! So I decided to try the brand Vetchy after seeing it everywhere online. Reviews that convinced me included women who were older (the days of wearing string bikinis are over for me) that raved about the quality of the fit and fabric. I’m a sucker for a suit that has shape and will last, so I figured I’d give it a try and today I’m sharing my honest Vetchy review for the Vetchy Laguna Bikini.
My Honest Vetchy Swimsuit Review
I ordered the Laguna Bikini Hot Pink set. One thing I liked right away was that even though it’s sold as a set, I could choose a size for my top and bottom. I am 5’4 and range between 125 and 130 pounds and I ordered a small top and medium bottom. The bottoms come in two styles: Regular Fit (a bit more cheeky) and Full Cover.
Style: The Laguna is a two-piece bikini with an underwire top and high rise bottoms (the sides come up pretty high – not to be confused with high waisted). It has a clean, modern look that I really appreciate. The top provides good support, and the bottoms are flattering without feeling too retro. I got it in a hot pink color, which is fun for summer/warm weather vacations.
Fit: The fit is impressive. Made with Vetchy’s premium textured fabric, it feels incredibly soft on the skin, not itchy as I kind of imagined it based on the photos online. The underwire top includes removable pads, which is great for adding extra lift and shape if needed, and I like that the straps are thick. The bottoms are comfortable and don’t dig into my sides, but are snug enough that I’d feel comfortable jumping into a big wave, which is a huge plus. I found it true to size, and it fit me perfectly.
Price: At $138, the Laguna bikini is definitely on the pricier side. It’s an investment, but considering the quality and fit, I think it’s worth it. Vetchy sometimes has sales, so you might be able to snag it for less.
Durability: After wearing it several times, I can say the durability is solid. The fabric holds up well against chlorine (I’ve worn it outside the baby pool in my yard with the dogs, don’t worry), and it hasn’t lost its shape or color after multiple washes. The stitching is strong, and there’s no sign of wear and tear yet. It’s clear this bikini is built to last, so I’m happy I spent a little more.
Does Vetchy Run Small?
I would say yes, it does. I am usually a size small in bottoms, but the medium bottoms are snug on me. I read a ton of reviews before purchasing that all recommended sizing up, and I’m glad I did.
Does Vetchy Have Free Returns?
Yep! Their return policy was one of the other things I looked into before buying. For returns: “14 DAYS to request the return of an item from the date you received it. Vetchy will not accept any returns outside of the 14 day window. Please do not send back items for return or exchange without pre-authorization from our returns portal or customer care. Our warehouse will not recognize your items and therefore they may be lost.”
Is A Vetchy Swimsuit Worth The Price?
In my opinion, yes. I think spending the money for a piece of clothing (no matter what it is) that lasts is always a smart decision and I’m happy I finally decided to take the plunge with a Vetchy suit. I would highly recommend them for both quality and fit. If you’re on a budget, definitely keep an eye on the website for sales (they recently did $40 OFF!).
