TGIF! Hopefully everyone had a fantastic week! Today I’m back with this week’s edition of 5 Things I Love Friday where I’m dishing on some of my favorite travel essentials, a newfound love for dry shampoo, pants I would have never picked out for myself and more. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
5 Things I Love Friday
Spornette Teasing Comb – When I came home, my mom told me that she wanted me to teach her how to tease her hair. Your wish, my command, mom! My secret has very little talent behind it! It’s this amazing little teasing comb that I’ve had for YEARS! I have no idea the science behind it, but it teases my hair with few tangles and the volume LASTS. That last part is key.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo – I have an entire post/review on this coming, but trust me when I tell you that there is no going back from this. I know — it’s $24, so it’s a total splurge, but I have never had a product work this well. If you have other questions about my haircare, I did a whole Hair FAQ!
Blink Travel Contact Solution – When I travel, I try to carry on whenever I can, but the one beef I have is travel sized contact solution bottles. It’s never enough for me, especially on long trips! My eye doctor recommended the BLINK brand to me, so when I discovered that they make a bigger bottle of solution that still meets carry-on requirements, I was excited. I’m happy to report it keeps my perpetually dry eyes moist AND lasts me.
Athleta Pants – My mom has been raving about these pants all fall and I’ll be honest I thought to myself “Cute for her, not for me”. And then she had them on when she picked me up from the airport and I was like…I LOVE THOSE! Turns out, they are pants you absolutely have to see on to really get a feel for them, because they are not something I would have ever picked out for myself. They are comfortable, have pockets and are a really smooth material that doesn’t make you look bulky, even though the pants are a looser fit. I’m pretty pleased with this purchase, plus I feel good supporting a B-Corp.
Sunflower Fields – We visited beautiful sunflower fields near my parent’s house last weekend and I’m still dreaming about all the beautiful blooms we saw and got to bring home. They really are a cheery flower!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
