4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Pets · April 30, 2014 · 8 Comments

Judy is pretty much the queen bee around here, if you haven’t noticed. I mean honestly..right now she’s snoring on my couch with her feet up in the air. Even I don’t get to do that! I must be glutton for punishment, because I only feed into her horrible habits by allowing them! So, it should really come as no surprise to anyone that when she vetoes store-bought treats (which is often), I whip up some of her very favorite treats in the kitchen. It’s a modified Giada recipe and Judy thinks it’s totally p-awesome.

To make your own 4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Treats, you will need:
1.5 cups flour
1 cup peanut butter (natural only! In fact – I make mine)
1 cup chicken broth (all natural organic over here! the price on the case at Costco cannot be beat.)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

*Judy also likes when I add shredded carrots, so sometimes these are an addition 🙂

1. Mix all ingredients together.
*I use a power mixer, because all that peanut butter makes my arm hurt just thinking about it.
2. Dust countertop with flour and roll out dough to about 1/2″ thick.
3. Choose your favorite cookie cutter and make as many cookies as you can from the dough.
4. Bake until lightly browned, around 15 minutes, at 375.

It’s really important to note that these are best kept in the refrigerator! And Judy says that if anyone comes to her birthday party in November, they will get a goody bag full of these–four paws up!
