well, well, well…here we are on another Monday and I’m still wondering why we can’t have off for five days and work for two–wouldn’t that be charming?
My weekend consisted of a lot of food. prepping, making and consuming all happened and in mass quantity. On Friday, I cuddled this little lady who was feeling a little bit under the weather from allergy season (of course I have a dog with seasonal allergies!) and ate ice cream for dinner. It was amazing and this is one of the many reasons I actually love being an adult.
*don’t worry, there are plenty of things I hate which include paying my $500/month electric bill. Ice cream > Electric, ALWAYS.
Saturday I woke up early and whipped up some banana bread pie (recipe coming tomorrow!) and jalapeno and artichoke dip for a party with friends. While I was chowing down, Judy went for a little pampering at Petco. The freaking dog got a tea tree oil paw-pad rubdown and little nail polish for being cute. #diva
Homegirl got pampered because on Sunday, Dane came home! I’m not sure who was more excited to see him–me or her. She even got to ride to the airport, which was a win in her book. You’d never know she got the royal treatment all weekend, though, because she was sassy as ever when we told her no more salami at lunch time.
And what would be a trip overseas without fun little treats to bring home? I’m so excited to start our Starbucks travel mug collection–that @dmhanso sure knows the way to my heart!
Happy Monday, everyone, if there really is such a thing.
