When we lived in Ko Olina, we loved taking Judy to the Ko Olina Secret Lagoon on the other side of Paradise Cove for some wave jumping either really early in the morning or at sunset after mostly everyone had gone home. It seemed like Ko’Olina was far less crowded when we lived there, because there was hardly anyone ever at the secret lagoons and now it’s jam packed. On this particular day, we had driven the golf cart to have some drinks and noticed no one was here, so we took the opportunity to let Judy in midday. I don’t think I would take her there now, though. Just too many people!
How To Get To Ko Olina Secret Lagoon
In any case, if you are visit Ko’Olina and want to find the secret lagoons, park at the Four Seasons or near Monkeypod Kitchen and walk across the street. Follow the train tracks toward Waianae and look for the tree that resembles the Jack Johnson album cover. When you see it, you’ll know you’re at the Ko Olina Secret Lagoon! It’s a tiny cove beach that is great for just a couple people at a time!
The waves here CAN get a little gnarly, so just know that ahead of time. It’s also a great spot to watch the sunrise with a glass of wine. Enjoy 🙂
