It’s not every day you get the opportunity to have a picnic with your husband in a place filled with so much history! When Dane found out that the USS Missouri was opening up to the public for BYOB picnics and live music — he couldn’t sign up fast enough. The week before the event, he surprised me with tickets (only $5 per person!) and I anxiously anticipated our special date.
We packed seasoned vegetables with a spicy dipping sauce, margarita shrimp, lemon butter rice, salsa, chips and a cold bottle of rosé. Watching the sunset over the Arizona Memorial while listening to live music play (and of course, eating!), was truly an amazing experience.
