Tis the season for holiday gifting! What kind of travel writer would I be if I didn’t share all the best gifts to give for the traveler in your life? First things first – these are all products Dane and I love. I couldn’t, in good faith, recommend the best travel gifts if I had never used them. If you’ve been a follower here for awhile, you will probably recognize most of these accessories, so without delaying further, here are the best gifts for travelers!
Best Gifts For Travelers
I’ve tried to include a range of gifts, as well as prices, so there is truly something for every type of traveler on this list! Though to be honest, I don’t think anything on this list is more than $50, so that your money can be best spent on traveling 🙂
Hydro Flask – This is a no-brainer and there is a size for every need in the Hydro Flask family. From the beach to the mountains, trains, planes and everywhere in between, nothing holds drinks like a Hydro Flask. On a recent trip to London, my Flask kept the ice solid from Honolulu to London — and remained for two days! It isn’t the first time that has happened, but it always amazes me when I see first hand how amazing this product is.
Foot Hammock – My sister gifted this to me earlier this year (and one for Dane, too!) and it’s perfect for people with shorter legs. It *almost* gives the feeling of laying flat in a business or first class seat for sleeping and I noticed that, coupled with drinking water, it helps with swelling.
Portable Charger – This tiny brick has saved my sanity more times than I care to admit. I was always “I’ll just find a plug”, but that isn’t always feasible and then I’m mad at myself. Admittedly, I use mine for everyday life, too.
Packing Cubes – If you’ve ever seen my warp-speed packing videos, then you know I count on packing cubes to help me get everything I need in my suitcase. They’re ideal for all types of packing (roller bag, backpack, duffel bag ,etc) and come in several sizes so that there is always an ideal cube for the clothes you need to pack.
Laptop Sleeve – I always have my laptop in my purse when I fly and since computers aren’t cheap, I like to make sure I take care of mine the best I can when it’s being toted to and fro. I like that this basic felt one hides any dirt (#realtalk) and it soft.
Shower Wipes – Dane LOVES these wipes. The love affair started when he was constantly going to the field for Army training, and they’ve been a staple ever since. Truthfully, I love them too, because it’s basically a mini shower that feels refreshing when you’ve been cooped up in a car, plane or train for (what feels like) eternity.
Travel Kit – At first glance, this travel kit/dopp kit is just another bag. Honestly, when I was on the prowl for a new one for Dane last year, I reviewed about 20 different dopp kits. This got the highest ratings and now that Dane has used it for a year, I can see why. It doesn’t appear it, but the inside is huge and fits so much stuff. The triangle shape is also excellent for sitting on tiny hotel shelves or Airbnb counters. Probably my best “buy without trying” purchase ever!
Flight Therapy – Who here is a stressed out flier? Or perhaps you’re flying all over creation for work? Or perhaps you’ve just traveled way too much this year and need a boost? This is the answer for you and the roll-on ball makes it easy to apply/no spilling.
USB Charging Cable – How many of you have suffered from “my cord isn’t long enough to charge” syndrome? Dane was sick of listening of me complain about this not only when we travel, but at night, when my phone’s standard cord didn’t stretch far beyond my nightstand and led to me falling out of bed when I went to shut my alarm off. This extra long USB is not only FAST CHARGING, but has a ball to anchor it when you need to keep it in place.
