Let’s face it, fall means football and for those of us with pigskin in our blood (or something like that), it’s a season we look forward to all year long. It’s no secret that this blog began as a creative outlet when football was my main source of income…and a much bigger part of my life!

6 years ago, this blog was born as “Gridiron Lipstick”, a girly place to bring my thoughts outside of football. But don’t get me wrong…I had some seriously awesome times in my “football life”.

Now that football is no longer my 9-5, this blog has evolved, but my love for the sport remains. It’s the only time of the year I allow myself to park my butt on the couch for an entire day glued to the television. Thankfully, because we live in Hawaii, most of my football watching can be done in the morning, so really — it’s like I get a bonus afternoon free AND an excuse to host mega awesome brunch spreads every week.
My team? The Detroit Lions, of course.

This season, I’m so excited to be part of an exclusive group of bloggers chosen to represent fan style of the NFL. I’ll be dishing tailgate food, homegating, pet wear, games to look forward to, holiday gifting and more. The eight NFL Fan Style bloggers (myself included!) are also participating in a fantasy league, which is a fun component of the gig that I’ll be updating everyone on as the season progresses. My team name? The Hawaiian Lions!
Stay tuned for weekly football-related posts and feel free to comment on what you’d most like to see (tailgate ideas, recipes, etc)!
