Summer is HERE (!) and I could not be more excited for hot, hot, hot beach days. It’s always warm here in Hawaii, but our winter months bring a decent amount of rain, which makes beach weekends nearly impossible. This year, it seems like we’ve gotten more rain than usual, which has me even more eager for hot weather and sunny days. To me, nothing says a beach day quite like pulling an ice cold cider from the cooler. To be fair, I alternate ciders with water or sparkling water, because I don’t want to dehydrate and I typically have to chase dogs around now and then. If you’re new to the cider scene, or have been wanting to test the waters, today I’m sharing the best ciders to try this summer. Lucky enough – you can find them all at Target! So without further delay, let’s hop right into the 7 best ciders of summer. . .
7 Best Ciders Of Summer
ACE Pineapple Cider – ACE Pineapple is without a doubt my favorite cider there is! Hints of pineapple make it extra crisp, a little sour and exactly what I always crave on a hot day. Bonus points if it’s on tap!
Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider – Angry Orchard is a go-to for me, because it’s usually what I can find most easily and it comes in variety packs (always fun!). There is a big tart after taste with this one that I always recognize more than I do in others, so if that’s a deal breaker for you, be warned!
Smith & Forge Hard Cider – I LOVE that this comes in a can, because it makes me feel like a bad-ass (I am lame, ha!). That said, it’s definitely a stronger, bolder taste than other ciders, but I do like it, especially paired with pizza.
Crispin Natural Hard Apple Cider – Crispin is one of the lightest, most airy ciders I have ever tasted. I love that it isn’t heavy (all you beer drinkers know what I mean) and I’ll be honest – they go down really easily with minimal tart “bite”!
Stella Artois Cidre – The marketing for Cidre is done very well, which is, if I’m being candid – the only reason I tried it. It’s slightly pricier than other ciders, but I really did like the taste and I felt very fancy while drinking it!
Woodchuck Reserve Hard Cider – Woodchuck, like Angry Orchard, is super easy to find and is almost always comes in a variety pack. My favorite is the Raspberry (purplely label) if you can find it!
Strongbow Hard Cider – This is the first cider I ever tried, so it holds a special place in my heart, haha! It is what I think of when I think of a true, hard apple cider. My favorite is the original (red label), but I’m super intrigued by the lower carb variety!
I hope this little round up of my favorite ciders for summer was helpful for anyone who is looking to try a new variety! Do you like cider? What is your favorite? I am always looking for new ones to try!
