Experiencing

On Saturday, Dane and I hit the beach for the entire day and it. was. glorious. We love, love, love the beach, but we rarely get the opportunity to park ourselves there for a full day since we have to do other really fun things like the grocery store and cleaning the house. The stars seemed to have aligned, because we were able to read our books, catch up with each other since we both happened to be out of town last week and just genuinely enjoy the warm sun and light breeze. It was perfection and I hope there are more carefree beach days on the horizon 🙂

Appreciating

This island that Dane and I get to call home. Last week, I was part of a press trip with Olukai with journalists from all around the world and we got to do some pretty cool stuff here on Oahu. That said, the greatest gift for me was being able to see Hawaii through their eyes. Sometimes when you live in a place for so long, you start to take things for granted. It’s safe to say I have a new-found love and appreciation for our little island home 🙂

Wishlisting

I’m a big fan of rompers in the summer months. Short, long, I don’t really care..I love them all! In any case, I’ve had my eye on a few pieces from Gillia Clothing for YEARS now. I mean seriously, catch a glimpse of the prices and you’ll see why. But I think I might finally be down to pull the trigger on the Nina Jumpsuit. It’s linen perfection! Or maybe I want the Taylor Jumpsuit…It will be a hard choice if I can stomach the cost. GULP. 

Posting

Things for sale! I’m cleaning out my closet in a major way and half of it is over on Poshmark. If you’re in the market for some J.Crew, Athleta or Banana Republic goodies, check it out! I’ve also got some good shorts on there just in time for summer 🙂

Considering

Dane and I keep drawing blanks on where to go for our anniversary in August. We have a whole list of places on our wish list, but most (if not all) of them aren’t favorable for the month of August. Initially we had Tahiti on the brain since it’s a quick hop from Hawaii, but we are open to other places to consider. What’s the best place you’ve traveled in August?
