What To Do In Harrisburg, PA

Travel, USA · December 6, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Looking for ways to spend a day in central Pennsylvania? I’m sharing what to do in Harrisburg, PA!

Growing up, I thought that Harrisburg, PA was so boring. It’s not a glamorous big city. Sure, it’s the capital of the state of Pennsylvania, but it didn’t feel as sexy as popular cities like New York City or Los Angeles. Now that I’ve grown up and have better perspective, I’ve realized that there is something truly special about my hometown city.

Whether you want to support a local business, get something to eat or get in some exercise, there is plenty to do in the mid-state. Here are some of my favorites and things I try to do when I’m home!

Get a cup of coffee from Little Amps.

Eat breakfast at Yellowbird Cafe.

Visit local bookstore Midtown Scholar.

Walk around Wildwood Park.

Visit the Broad Street Market.

Swing by Doggie Delights for your pup.

Have brunch at Home 231.

See the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

Visit the National Civil War Museum.

Walk through Fort Hunter Mansion and Park.

See an IMAX at the Whitaker Center.

Watch a baseball game at City Island.

Walk Riverfront Park.

Pay a visit to Spring Gate Vineyard.
